In cathedra pestilentiae

An academic invited me as a contributor, with a dozen other authors, to a book which he will edit. 

As the workplan, which he pretended he had put together on purpose, he sent us a two-page text made at 70% by my own words (with no credits or citations), taken from a book I published several years ago.

I could have reminded him of McLuhan’s aphorism: Only puny secrets need protection. Big discoveries are protected by public incredulity. However the risk was that he might take me seriously…
